Orchard Street Road Replacement Project Update
The first phase of the roadway project will be complete no later than May 26 unless there are weather-related delays. Orchard Street will be accessible from Florida Avenue to Orchard Place. During the month of June, Orchard Street will be closed from the bus shelter by the office to the entrance of parking lot D. Phase 2 of the project will redo the roadway and add a sidewalk from the North Laundry to the office. The North Laundry parking lot and parking lot C will be closed during this phase of the project.
MTD bus service continues to pick up on Race Street, George Huff, and at the corners of Florida and Orchard Street. Please review the schedule for details at www.cumtd.com.
In June we will also repave parking lot G, however specific dates have not been confirmed. Exciting news—the re-paving of Orchard South roads (Orchard Street south of George Huff, and Hazelwood Drive) will not impact the parking lots. Residents will need to use caution when driving and obey traffic flagger staff who will direct traffic. Residents in parking lots K, L, M will not have to move their cars at this time.
A Final Fling Thank You
Thank you to all the staff, GAs, CAs, and volunteers who helped with our annual “Final Fling.” The event could not have happened without you! We appreciate you sharing your time and talents to make our end of the year event such a success. We also thank all of our residents who attended the picnic. Thank you for being a part of this very special event. We hope you enjoyed the food, activities, and time spent with family and friends.
