A Love of Cultural Learning
Diana Balderas is a senior majoring in early childhood education and minoring in Spanish. She has cherished all of her teaching placements so far and said that every day is a learning experience. "I enjoy being able to bring my Latino culture to the classroom, just as I enjoy learning about new cultures from my students," said Diana, who traveled to Costa Rica last summer. Diana's desire to teach stems from being the oldest of four siblings: "With all that I learned from my younger siblings and family, the teacher in me grew as I got older."
