The goal of the NSF grant, awarded to ISE professors Carolyn Beck, Angelia Nedich, and Alex Olshevsky, is to create a system that allows each unit of a turbine cluster to perform well individually, despite unstable conditions, while maximizing output as a group.

Negar Kiyavash

This Chair honors Jerry Dobrovolny, founder of the General Engineering Department, formerly the Department of General Engineering Drawing, which would eventually merge with the Department of Industrial Engineering to become ISE.
