{salutation}

We'd like to introduce our Data Nudge subscribers to the new Scholarly Commons, which is a great campus resource for data-related research. The Scholarly Commons reopened in room 220 in the Main Library and offers space for patrons, supports individual and group study, hosts research consultations, and more.

This image includes 3 pictures that hang on the bar by paper clips. Two pictures are on the top and the third one is under them, in the middle. The first picture on the left hand side is a picture of group study room. The second picture on the right hand side is the picture of furniture in yellow and orange color. Below is the third picture which is the picture of Bookeye and Flatbed scanners.

Technology, services, and spaces offered by the Scholarly Commons include:

  • Consultation services offered in partnership with other campus units, including data and research services (GIS, statistical consulting, data discovery, publishing, and more)
  • Desktop computers equipped with specialized software (ArcGIS, ATLAS.ti, Nvivo, ABBYY FineReader)
  • Scanning equipment (Bookeye and flatbed stations)
  • Reservable, glass-enclosed group rooms with screencast technology and dry-erase boards
  • Flexible study spaces with soft seating and tables

🍂🍂🍂 If you're on campus, come inside and check out the great space!!

For questions about services and hours, email Scholarly Commons or visit their website.
