Secondary Education Application Workshop
Jan. 23; 4:30-5:30 p.m.

This workshop is for secondary education students who are interested in pursuing the secondary education minor in the Spring 2018 semester. The application deadline is Feb. 1, 2017, so attend this workshop to make sure your submission is complete and accurate. Contact Lori Davis at for inquiries.

College's International Office Seeking Student Workers
The Office of International Programs in the College of Education is hiring student workers to promote study abroad opportunities and engage in global education outreach on campus and in local schools. Middle School Science Teachers Needed in Champaign
The Champaign Unit 4 School District has three open positions for middle school science teachers beginning in the 2017-2018 school term. Grade level assignments will be based on current staff members' and candidates' experiences and preferences. Learn more and apply

Join the College of Education Study Tour of Australia
Application Deadline: Feb. 3, 2017
Due to great airfare pricing, the May 18-June 4, 2017, College of Education study abroad opportunity in Australia is expected to cost no more than $5,000—and that figure doesn't include the $500 scholarships that the College offers all students. Learn more about the trip, read the student blog that covers the 2015 study abroad experience in Australia, and apply for the campus I4I/IIP scholarships for studying overseas. Spend Your Spring Break Studying Abroad in Spain
Slots are still available for the March 18-26, 2017, study abroad opportunity in Tarragona, Spain. Spend your spring break visiting local classrooms, meeting education students and teachers, and hanging out in Barcelona for a weekend. Fluency in Spanish is not required. Learn more and apply.    

Submissions for Undergraduate Research Symposium Being Accepted
Application Deadline: Feb. 1, 2017
The Office of Undergraduate Research is now accepting submissions for the April 27, 2017, Undergraduate Research Symposium. The symposium is the signature event of the campus's Undergraduate Research Week, which takes place April 23-29 and brings together students, faculty, and staff from all disciplines. Apply for the symposium and email for inquiries.
