Please share your nominations for the Max Beberman Distinguished Alumni Award. The award was established in honor of the late Max Beberman, whose distinguished career as a math educator brought him international renown. During his tenure at University Laboratory High School from 1950 to 1971 he founded and developed the University of Illinois Committee on School Mathematics (UICSM) which significantly altered the teaching of mathematics around the world. Remember wondering what’s after high school?

More than 300 Uni students are wondering the same thing!

Uni is hosting Alumni Agora classes the afternoon of April 6, 2017 for alumni to share their after-Uni experiences with current students.  Alumni Agora is part of the inaugural ReUNIon Week (April 6-8, 2017) at Uni High School.

Your 45-minute presentation about the most interesting part of your post-Uni life can be on any topic and include anything you want - video, photos and hands-on activities are just a few of the possibilities.

While you are welcome to share your academic and job experiences, Uni students are just like you remember – interested in everything! Share your passions, your projects and your life experiences - we value our grads and all of their experiences.

Please contact Josh Hall at to schedule your Agora class!

The new year at Uni got off to a good start with Spirit Week, which culminated in the annual Coaches vs. Cancer basketball triple-header at Uni.  The event raised $2,026 for the Pediatric Cancer Awareness Club to donate. The club president is junior Mallika Luthar, and the sponsor is SSO counselor Kristi Bandy.

Visitors to Uni during Alumni Week in April may notice a new open space next to the building. Math House and Hue House, which housed Uni faculty offices and the Advancement Office, were demolished in mid-December. There is no word yet on what will replace them. (Photo by Martin Dalling, '19.)

Uni students are enjoying some new activities as part of their daily P.E. classes. Senior Emma Roese, who is working with the Advancement office as part of her senior project, captured students doing fitness videos and participating in our first-ever archery unit.
