Part of the national Girls Who Code non-profit, this weekly session enables University of Illinois volunteers to inspire, educate, and equip middle and high school girls with basic computing skills, while encouraging them to pursue an interest in technology.
June - July
Registration for the Gems CS summer day camps for middle and high school girls opens April 1, 2017. The free weeklong camps include coding, group project work, field trips, problem solving, and social networking with peers.
Organized by current CS @ ILLINOIS students, this free, day-long showcase allows high school students, especially admitted students, to get a glimpse of what it is like to be a CS student at Illinois.
