Alumna Lands Competitive Disney Internship
By her own estimation, 23-year-old Catherine Hixson, Ed.M. '16 EPOL, has visited Walt Disney World in Orlando once a year from the time she was 5. Now the online graduate is in Orlando in a much more official role, interning for the Disney Company's global human resources operations sector. Hixson earned the internship thanks to what she learned while pursuing her master's degree in the College's human resource development online program. Learn more...
Sign Up for Upcoming 'Make-a-Thon'
CU Make is a 30-hour "make-a-thon" in which participants work together to build physical prototypes and mockups centered around a given theme. This year's theme is universal design, which refers to broad-spectrum ideas meant to produce products and environments that are easily usable by anyone regardless of age and ability. Learn more...

This meet and greet networking event will offer future minority educators a chance to network with Champaign Unit 4 School District administrators, staff members, and board of education members. ICTM Seeking Volunteers for Math Finals Event
The 2017 Illinois Council of Teachers of Mathematics (ICTM) State Math Finals will be held May 6 on the Illinois campus, and volunteers are needed to help the event run smoothly. Many of the duties such as proctoring, filing exams, and setting up awards will be done with the assistance of coaches and long-time ICTM volunteers. Learn more about the event and sign up to help.
