Sibin Mohan received Best Paper Award at 2016 RTSS

In response to recent cyberattacks, CS PhD student Monowar Hasan, advised by ITI research assistant professor Sibin Mohan, has developed novel methods to integrate safety algorithms within real-time systems without interrupting normal behavior. Hasan won Best Paper Award for this work presented at the Real-Time Systems Symposium (RTSS), the top conference for this field. Read more.

Susan Mumm, Aerospace Engineering

Aerospace Engineering Assistant Prof. Grace Gao has been selected for the College of Engineering Dean’s Award for Excellence in Research, an honor bestowed on only a handful of the college’s assistant professors each year. Gao, a researcher in the Coordinated Science Labratory, and her students have focused on fundamental work in honing reliable and robust positioning, navigation, and timing for GPS. Their research contributes significantly to the ever-growing technologies of unmanned aerial vehicles, power systems, and robotics. Read more.

Tim Yardley receives CAPE award
Congratulations to Tim Yardley, associate director for technology at the Information Trust Institute, who received a 2017 Chancellor's Academic Professional Excellence Award at a ceremony last week!
Tim was recognized for his exceptional leadership and research contributions. He has been a senior lead researcher and active contributor to more than $50 million of ITI research, while also developing more than $30 million of his own research secured on behalf of the university.
