Commencement 2021-NEW STAGE ADDED
May 10 - May 17
Commencement season is just around the corner! 2021 and 2020 graduates are invited to participate in the in-person individual, private Stage Crossing experience and should refer to the official checklist if interested. Check your university email for log in information to register for stage crossing times, with responses due by April 15. An extra stage has been added for the weekend dates to accommodate more students. While the academic attire deadline has passed, students can still order regalia at for at an extra fee. The deadline to apply to Golden Apple has been extended to April 15! This teacher preparation program provides their scholars up to $23,000 in tuition assistance and mentoring that supports the development and success of new, highly effective teachers for Illinois schools-of-need. Daily Mindfulness Workshops

These 30-minute workshops are held each weekday at 4:15 p.m., each with a theme; Mindfulness Mondays, Intuitive Eating Tuesdays, Body Awareness Wednesdays, Thoughtful Thursdays, and Forget-it Fridays. These workshops are not therapy and are not confidential. All students are welcome!

Mindwise Mental Health Screenings
The Counseling Center offers Mindwise mental health screenings through its website. These quick, confidential assessments allow you to understand if feelings like prolonged sadness, anxiety, and/or hopelessness are related to depression. Other screenings for generalized anxiety disorder, alcohol misuse, eating disorders, bipolar disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder are also available. Participants will receive immediate results at the end of each screening to print and bring to a counselor for further discussion and evaluation if indicated. Please note that these screenings are to help you have an informed conversation with your counselor. They are not intended to be a clinical diagnosis.

Odyssey Project Internship
Application Deadline: April 18
Apply for a paid internship with the Odyssey Project, a program that offers free college courses to adults of the Champaign-Urbana community. Odyssey Project Interns are responsible for delivering onsite content and skill support for Odyssey students during class time (Mondays and Wednesdays, 5:30 - 8:30 p.m.). The position begins August 23, 2021 and ends May 13, 2022, with approximately two to three hours per week during the fall and spring semesters (with flexible hours), at the rate of $15.75 per hour.
