Sent on behalf of the COE Return to On-site/Transition Committee:
Dear Faculty, Staff, and Graduate Students:
The Academics Subcommittee of the Return to On-site/Transition Committee is ready to share their recommendations and guidance for Fall 2020 instructionwith the College of Education community. We ask that you carefully read all sections of this report, which gives guidance on how academics will be handled, including: course delivery and instructional issues, student engagement, unique considerations, and resources.
We ask you to view this report as a source of planning and ideas for the Fall 2020 semester. Over the last several weeks, we have gathered information from a variety of places: lessons learned from the rapid shift to remote learning during Spring 2020; feedback given to department executives related to instructor preferences; campus recommendations; and resources on effective online and hybrid instruction.
Course scheduling and room assignments are currently being carefully considered and coordinated within the College and campus. We appreciate your patience as we work through the logistics over the next few weeks—rest assured, we will be in contact soon with more details.
The complete Return to On-site/Transition Committee report from all subcommittees—including recommendations for Administrative Operations, Research, and Community Engagement—will be released next week.
If you have questions please contact your unit head, who can coordinate with relevant personnel.
