Greetings, ACES community.
It is my true pleasure to announce Dr. Alex Winter-Nelson will serve as acting associate dean for research and director of the Agricultural Experiment Station for ACES while I carry out the duties of interim dean. This will help keep us all moving forward during the transition period.
As you may know, Alex has led the Office of International Programs as associate dean since 2013. He is also director of ADMI Institute for the Prevention of Postharvest Loss, the food and agriculture theme lead for the Discovery Partners Institute, and a professor in the Department of Agricultural and Consumer Economics, where he began his career in 1992.
Alex’s deep international experience will ensure we maintain momentum in advancing ACES research on the global stage, while continuing to develop new and successful partnerships at the local, state, and national levels. His extensive connections will ensure far-reaching and assertive representation of ACES research among business leaders, legislators, and funding agencies.
Please join me in welcoming Alex to the Office of Research.
