CCIL Member Granted $2M NIH Grant to Design Imaging Scanner
NPRE Assistant Professor and CCIL Member Shiva Abbaszadeh has received a $2M National Institutes of Health award to develop a high spatial resolution imaging scanner that will assist doctors treating head and neck cancer patients.

 

Former Cancer Scholars Program Member Featured in U.S. News
U.S. News featured Lauren Sargeant, a former Cancer Scholars Program (CSP) member, and her experience conducting cancer research as an undergraduate. The CSP is a program that provides unique and interdisciplinary student learning experiences and inspires education and deep scholarship through exposure to research and grand challenges early in undergraduate careers.

Faculty Seminar Series
The next CCIL faculty seminar is on Thursday, October 18, and features Hyunjoon Kong, Professor of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, and Mike Yao, Associate Professor of Digital Media. Department of Biochemistry Seminar
The Department of Biochemistry is hosting Andrew Stephen, Project Lead RAS Biochemistry and Biophysics from Frederick National Laboratory for Cancer Research, on Friday, November 9 (12:00 p.m.), as a part of its seminar series. The event will be at Charles G. Miller Auditorium B102 CLSL and will focus on RAS signaling in human cancer. Find more here.
