Cancer Center Member projects—led by Taher Saif, Dipanjan Pan, and Brian Cunningham and Paul Hergenrother—have been awarded funding from the Mayo Clinic–Illinois Alliance. Find out more here.

NIH Director's Blog
A blog post last week from NIH Director Francis Collins highlighted the work of Cell and Developmental Biology Professor Andrew Belmont and colleagues, who have developed a new technique to build 3D maps of the genome’s spatial arrangement within cells. Cancer Center Member and MechSe Professor Ning Wang was similarly featured earlier in the summer on the blog.

Department of Biochemistry Seminar
The Department of Biochemistry is hosting Andrew Stephen, Project Lead RAS Biochemistry and Biophysics from Frederick National Laboratory for Cancer Research, on Friday, November 9 (12:00 p.m.), as a part of its seminar series. The event will be at Charles G. Miller Auditorium B102 CLSL and will focus on RAS signaling in human cancer. Find more here.
