Four weeks to financial wellness program starts Thursday, October 18

Take charge of your financial wellness! We are pleased to offer an educational series that will provide the information you need to find your own path to financial wellness. The program is open to employees and their significant others.

This four-week Financial Wellness series offers practical, down to Earth information. You will gain an understanding of the fundamentals of financial wellness, tips on developing a retirement savings plan, techniques to protect your assets, and strategies to transfer your accumulated wealth to your heirs.

When and Where:

  • Dates: Four Thursdays, starting October 18
  • Time: 5:15 pm – 6:15 pm
  • Location: Room 108 Bevier Hall, Room 242 Bevier Hall
  • Cost: Free!

Relaxation technique webinars continue: Tuesday, October 16 session features Passive Muscle Relaxation

Our next relaxation technique webinar will focus on Passive Muscle Relaxation. This session is scheduled for Tuesday, October 16 from 12 noon – 12:50 pm.

This free and convenient session will teach you how to:

  • Ease muscle tension
  • Lower stress levels
  • Fall and stay asleep more easily

After a brief introduction, participants will partake in a full body passive muscle relaxation exercise.

You can register here for the October session, or for the entire series. November’s session will focus on Progressive Muscle Relaxation. December’s session will feature guided imagery and visualization.

 
Tobacco cessation classes start October 23

Have you tried to quit tobacco, but are having a tough time? Take our tobacco cessation class. This unique program offers a structured, but personalized, approach to quitting. Participants learn a wide variety of cessation techniques, and address the physical, mental, and social aspects of tobacco addiction.

Get your flu shot now

Campus flu shot clinics are open now until the end of November. McKinley Health Center provides free flu shots for benefit eligible students, state employees and retirees. Clinics will be held at multiple campus locations, and at McKinley Health Center. Employees who are not eligible for a free flu shot can get one for $32 at the health center. Learn more here.
