Dr. Michael Mann, the director of the Penn State Earth System Science Center, will discuss "Dire Predictions: Understanding Global Warming." This lecture will begin with a review of the now-solid evidence for a human influence on the climate of recent decades. Then it will address future likely impacts of human-induced climate change including possible influences on sea level rise, severe weather, and water supply.

Women in Film Middle East Film Series: Under the Skin of the City

Please join CSAMES for a screening of Iranian film Under the Skin of the City (Zir-e poost-e shahr). A discussion will follow the film.

The Women in Film Middle East Film Series features films by female directors from Egypt, Iran, Israel, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey.
