Civil Service Award Deadline
The Coordinated Science Laboratory has many dedicated civil service staff, whose high quality service is essential to the success of our research programs. In recognition of this, Robert T. Chien, former CSL Director, established the CSL Civil Service Staff Award.

Please email your nomination to CSL Associate Director for Administration, Karen, by 3:00 pm Wednesday, October 31 2018.  Nominations should include the name of nominee, the name of the nominator, and a justification/explanation of the reason the nominated employee should be considered for the award. NCPRE-based Confronting Challenges in Academic Units Consortium surveys professional development for academic leaders, calls for action
The Confronting Challenges in Academic Units Consortium has presented a new resource, Academic Leadership Development. This white paper surveys professional development programs for those new to leadership positions in academia. Increased participation by such individuals in quality programs addressing the topics outlined in the white paper would strengthen colleges and universities in addition to benefitting the participants.
