To better understand just what this semester is like for you, LAS Dean Gene Robinson will be hosting a series of student conversations over Zoom throughout the months of September, October, and November. During these 30-minute Zoom sessions, you’ll have the chance to share your experience this fall and ask questions that are on your mind. Prepare for ACES + LAS Virtual Career Fair with The Career Center

The ACES + LAS Virtual Career Fair will be held in a virtual platform this year. It’s important to know what to expect before participating in a virtual career fair. Attending a virtual career fair is an important step towards obtaining an internship or full-time employment. This workshop teaches you what to expect as well as how to create your elevator pitch, navigate employer sessions, and follow up with employers after the event. Advance registration is required.

The Life + Career Design interns are available to offer peer advising for virtual study abroad opportunities, undergraduate research, and career planning. We can offer you assistance with resume preparation, help you explore possible majors and career paths, and help you re-design your student life in light of the impact of COVID-19. LAS Leaders is a registered student organization that consists of 40 LAS undergraduate students who strengthen the relationships among the college's students, alumni, and friends. Leaders do this by serving as the college's student alumni ambassadors. Students are selected for the organization based on their commitment to representing the college through programs and community service.

Undergraduate Research Apprenticeship Program sets informational meetings

The Undergraduate Research Apprenticeship Program offers undergraduate students with little or no research experience the opportunity to assist advanced graduate students with their research projects. Through a one-on-one research experience with their graduate student mentor, undergraduate students will have the opportunity to learn what it means to do research, create knowledge, and produce scholarship. Get tips on creating a good statement of interest, why you should participate, and get your questions answered at our online informational meetings.
