The Festival of Trees will take place on Friday, November 16 through Sunday, November 18. Funds raised from Festival of Trees will support our partners for this year, Austin’s Place and Wesley Food Pantry. Would you like to start your day with fresh air, fun, and exercise? Then joining the Walking School Bus may be for you. We are looking WSB volunteers to serve as leaders at least twice a week. Reflections Memory Care - until 12/31

Volunteer during the days and on weekends to do activities with residents that have Alzheimer's and Dementia. The location is off campus past the Walmart in Savoy (62 E Airport Rd, Savoy, IL 61874) and the volunteer will need to provide their own transportation. If you have any questions, contact

Crisis Nursery is looking for dedicated volunteers who are interested in direct child care tasks like play time, meal time, and nap time. Volunteer anytime Sunday-Saturday 7am- 10pm. They provide 24 hour emergecy child care for children ages 0-6. Volunteers must be 18 years and older. Please contact Jill Duden at or 217-337-2730 if interested. Visit for more details.

We are looking for approximately 20 book mentor volunteers to read a story and do a related activity with a class of 15 preschool students once a month in Oct, Nov, Dec, Feb, Mar, Apr. The visits take place during the school day (8:50-11:20/12:50-3:20) on the first Monday of each month and last about 30 minutes. The books and activities are pre-planned and mentors are assigned a partner. If interested, please call or email at or 217.351.3881. 

Carle Hospice is looking for compassionate individuals in the area to volunteer about an hour per week for support to Hospice patients living nearby. Some activities include engaging in conversation or reading books to the patient. It’s a rewarding experience to help make the patients' last moments some of their best moments. Volunteer must be at leat 18 years old and must provide their own transportation. Carle will provide training. Contact with any questions.

If you want to make a difference in a child's life, please come to volunteer helping children with homework, gross motor activities and any learning activities including music, arts, dance etc. then join this after school program for children at-risk residing in Rantoul. Volunteer must be at least 18 years old and provide training. Volunteer must provide their own transportation (to 1126 Country Club Ln, Rantoul, IL - 20 minutes from UofI by car), and the agency will help with gas stipend for a car transporting four or more volunteers/day. Urbana Middle and High Schools are currently seeking dedicated volunteers to help teachers in the classroom. You may volunteer according to your schedule in the subject you choose. Find out more information at our volunteer orientation on Wednesday, September 5th at 5:30pm in Room 150 of the Animal Sciences Lab on campus (1472 W Gregory Dr, Urbana). This is a semester-long Chinese pair tutoring program. We pair volunteers who are fluent Chinese speakers with learners. We also provide training for tutors to ensure their teaching ability and quality. Each volunteer is expected to contribute 1-2 hours per week tutoring the student. Champaign Urbana Nursing Rehab

Join in on activities with residents. Plan games, do sensory crafts and have a great time in the company of residents. Time and date varies, but the need is daily 7 days a week. Male Practice Player for Women's Basketball

The Illinois Womens' Basketball team is in need of male practice players who can assist during practice with scrimmaging, drills, perform scout team plays, etc. You must have high school playing experience, knowledge and understanding of plays, terminology and drills, and must meet NCAA eligibility requirements and pass a physical. Previous training or certification required and volunteer must provide own transportation. Must opt to carry student insurance.
