Postdoc Preview is an opportunity for senior graduate students to see the extensive research and training opportunities at Michigan. During a fully-funded, two-day visit, selected applicants will meet prospective mentors, network with current postdocs, explore the resources at Michigan, and see life in Ann Arbor. APCO Insight works with many of the world’s leading companies, associations, nonprofits and public-sector organizations on a diverse range of challenges. The Research Analyst will support APCO Insight team members in executing research assignments on behalf of the organization and clients. While this position is predominantly an opinion research position and focused on quantitative and qualitative methods, APCO Insight is increasingly involved in assignments employing secondary research techniques, digital and social media research, data analytics, artificial intelligence, and machine learning.

The Usability Researcher should enjoy working independently and collaboratively, have experience giving and receiving feedback, and have outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail. Duties include conducting qualitative and quantitative data analysis - summarizing key themes, narrating findings, and making specific recommendtations on information architecture, user interaction, and content strategy as well as drafting clear, concise client-facing reports and other deliverables.

This position is responsible for the effective use of the internet and related technologies to enhance communication and engagement between the College and its constituents. This role leads the development of comprehensive digital strategies and plans to meet overall college marketing goals including managing and improving presence of the college website to facilitate maximum engagement and conversions and serve as the primary user of the college website content management system platform.

The Washington Post seeks a full-time writer for Retropolis, its popular history vertical, which provides historical context for news stories, breaking news about historical discoveries and well-crafted narratives about the people – famous or forgotten – who have changed our world. The ideal candidate will have a passion for history and compelling ideas for bringing the past to life with words, photos, graphics and video. The right anchor for Retropolis will have a demonstrated ability to dive into primary source material, find the right scholars on a wide range of subjects and make smart use of The Post’s archival riches.

The John Caldwell Meeker Postdoctoral Fellow in the Earth Sciences Section of the Integrative Research Center at the Field Museum will be expected to complement and/or participate in any one of the ongoing curatorial research programs in the Section. Individual curators and their research programs are featured on the Field Museum website. A Ph.D. in a field of research represented in the Earth Sciences Section is required. The maximum term for this position is two years. The appointment is anticipated to begin mid-year in 2019 or soon thereafter.

The Academic Engagement Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative, communications, and logistical support for, and coordination of, the activities of the Feitler Center. Responsibilities include managing the administration and communications for the office of the Director of Feitler Center. Additionally, the coorindator will serve as primary point of contact for UChicago students interested in engaging with the museum, manage application processes for Smart internships, fellowships, and other student opportunities, and coordinate and implement orientation sessions, lunches, and select events for Smart Museum student workers.

This position will be an integral member of the Sales and Marketing team who creates technical analytic methods to execute and support organizational initiatives and solve problems through data. The Data Analyst is responsible for creating and analyzing reports to track audience development and revenue growth. Duties include designing, preparing and automating reports on subscription and single ticket sales progress throughout the season as well as collecting data and conducting quantitative analysis from multiple systems to guide business decisions.
