Illinois Innovation Prize Nominations Due Jan. 25, 2019

The Illinois Innovation Prize (IIP) for $20,000 is awarded annually to an innovative student working towards solving global and societal challenges with the potential for a significant positive impact on the world. Since 2007, $300,000 has been awarded to student innovators. Students must be nominated by a faculty member, mentor, advisor and so forth. Students may not nominate other students. Students must be on-campus during the 2018-19 academic year at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Nomination deadline is Jan. 25, 2019. Nominate Now!

 
 
 
 
 
Illinois I-Corps Cohort Applications Open Jan. 23, 2019

The Intellectual Property Clinic is a joint effort between the TEC and the University of Illinois College of Law (COL). Selected participants from the Cozad New Venture Challenge, iVenture Accelerator, and the Illinois Innovation Prize entrants can have a patent application drafted for free, if their invention description includes a novel and potentially patentable device, system or method. ILEE Applications are Open

We are now accepting applications for the Innovation, Leadership, and Engineering Entrepreneurship (ILEE) dual degree program. The BS degree in ILEE is intended for engineering students to better understand the innovative processes involved in identifying complex technical problems and creating, developing, and leading efforts to provide engineering solutions. At this time, the BS degree in ILEE is only available as a dual degree for COE students, but individual courses and certificates are available to students from any college. EnterpriseWorks Hiring Urban Planning Intern

EnterpriseWorks, an incubator at the Research Park is hiring an Urban Planning Intern. This internship will begin during the Spring 2019 semester or sooner for training purposes at a minimum of 10 hours per week, with the potential to continue full-time during the Summer 2019 semester. You will work on the near-term implementation of the vision laid out by the recently updated Research Park Master Plan. The Technology Entrepreneur Center (TEC) provides students and faculty with the skills, resources, and experiences necessary to become successful innovators, entrepreneurs, and leaders. TEC is hiring a video intern for the Spring '19 semester (could be extended),  and a photography intern for Fall '19/Spring '20 semester. These are paid internships and pay rate is commensurate with experience.
