February 2019 Newsletter Issue-Happy Ground Hog's Day--6 Weeks til Spring!

Message from the President

Michael Foellmer

Brrrr! I can't believe how cold it's been! I just want to curl up with a book and some hot chocolate by a fireplace on days like these! On a positive note, we'll experience a 60 degree swing from today to Sunday so we'll get some much needed relief soon, thank goodness!

I hope you enjoyed and learned as much as I did at the SURS Career Connections lunch last month. If you missed any information or were unable to join us, let us know and we'll be sure to get you a copy of the information that was shared.

This month's Career Connections will be a very special and unique opportunity to engage with one another on a topic that is very important to Illinois Administrative Professionals and the campus community at large: Diversity in the Workplace. Dr. Stephanie Fortado will join us for an interactive and informative approach for working with and promoting diversity within our units. Please join me for this very exciting opportunity!

I look forward to seeing you all very soon, stay warm!

Best,

Michael
