Coaches Vs. Cancer
For the past 25 years, the American Cancer Society’s Coaches vs. Cancer program has united coaches and fans nationwide to fight a common enemy—cancer. This year, the CCIL and the Illinois men’s basketball team are joining forces to raise awareness and support for cancer research, outreach, and education efforts. Join us on January 23rd as the Illini take on the Wisconsin Badgers at the State Farm Center, and let's #KrushCancer!

Illini 4000 5K for Cancer
Join the Illini 4000 as they raise awareness and donations for cancer research and patient support services at their inaugural 5K Fun Run. All funds raised will be donated to the Illini 4000’s beneficiaries, including, but not limited to, Prairie Dragon Paddlers, Camp Kesem, and Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation. Learn more.

Save the Date: Cancer Research Advocacy Day
Mark your calendars for May 17, 2019, for Research Advocacy Day hosted by the CCIL's Cancer Research Advocacy Group (CRAG) at the I-Hotel and Conference Center. Composed of individuals who have been diagnosed with cancer or have a strong personal connection to it, CRAG promotes interactions between cancer survivors, researchers, and clinicians that are essential in the fight against cancer and lead to better outcomes for all. The event is a way to promote these types of interactions and honor those who have been impacted by the disease. More details to come.

CALL FOR PROPOSALS

Cancer Center at Illinois Seed Funding Call for Proposals 
The CCIL Seed Funding program provides support for Illinois cancer research teams, with the expected outcome of a fundable interdisciplinary research proposal. The CCIL anticipates funding two or three interdisciplinary research proposals during the 2018-2019 cycle.
