Artists’ Alley, located in the Presby Hall lobby, is a participant in this year’s Boneyard Arts Festival. Local visual artists will be displaying contemporary pieces that relate to the gallery’s current social justice theme, Engage 4 Freedom. An opening reception will be held Thursday, April 4, from 4:30-7 PM. Please plan to join us!
Gardeners needed! The McKinley Giving Garden located at Presby Hall grows produce for the Garden Hills Food Pantry and others in the community who have limited access to fresh produce. No gardening experience necessary. This is a great way to grow your own gardening skills while supporting a great cause! Mondays at 6 PM to sundown. Sign up here.
It's peanut butter jelly time! April 2 is National Peanut Butter and Jelly Day. Fun facts: The average American will have eaten over 2000 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches by the time they graduate from high school. Also, peanut butter was considered a delicacy in the early 1900s and was only served in New York City's finest tea rooms.
To observe, consider trying a new take on the old classic. Like....peanut butter and jelly cupcakes, or peanut butter and jelly pie, or peanut butter and jelly donuts, or...well, you get the idea.
