Please be advised of Campus Recreation's Spring Semester Facility Hours that are in effect from now until Wednesday, May 1, 2019.
During finals week (May 3-10), ARC and CRCE will close at 10 pm. View the Finals Week Hours for more details.
Summer hours are posted on the web site. Remember-CRCE is closed for Summer I and Intersession. ARC will be open the entire summer.

This survey is here for you to tell us about your experiences utilizing Campus Recreation facilities. This survey can take as little as 30 seconds if you haven’t used our facilities or longer depending on how much time you spend with us.

Campus Rec Outdoor Pool & Balcony Opening Soon
The outdoor pool and balcony at ARC will open on Monday, April 29. Air temperature must be 60 degrees or more for the pool to be open or all swimming will be moved indoors. Hours available online.
Limited Parking, Increased Traffic, Limited Gym Usage
- April 24-29: Illinois Marathon; ARC Gym 1, Gym 2, Gym 3, MP1, MP7, Auditorium; Increased traffic in and around ARC April 25 & 26 due to Marathon Expo and race packet pick-up; Limited access to ARC facility due to street closures and race routes the evening of April 26 and most of the day April 27.
- May 3-5: IFC Youth Soccer Tournament; ODC & Complex Fields; All outdoor field space will be utilized. No fields will be available during these dates.
- May 6-13: Commencement; ARC Gym 1; South half of Gym 1 will be unavailable due to Cap and Gown distribution set-up and activities.
All Rental Lockers (except those on payroll deduction) will expire on July 31, 2019.
If you do not wish to renew, please remove all items by the building closing time on July 31. Items left in rental lockers after July 31 will be removed and donated. Campus Recreation will not be responsible for lost/stolen items.
If you are leaving for the summer and not returning before July 31, please remove all items before you go. Items left in rental lockers beyond the expiration date will be removed and donated. Campus Recreation will not be responsible for lost/stolen items.
CRCE will close for Summer I on Friday, May 10. If you currently have items in a rental locker, please remove those items before 10 pm, Friday, May 10. You may use an ARC day use locker as a rental between Monday, May 6 and Monday, June 10.
Ice Arena Hours & Locker Clean Out
The last day to skate at the Ice Arena for the school year will be Wednesday, May 1 from 7:30-9:30 pm. The building will be open May 2-3 and 6-10 during regular business hours for locker clean-out only. Please remember all lockers need to be cleaned out by May 10 as the Ice Arena will be CLOSED all summer.
Wellness on Wheels
is a program that is designed to make Campus Recreation, Student Wellness accessible to all students. In a partnership between Campus Recreation and McKinley Health, and made possible through sponsorship by Slow Ride: Pedal Tours, Champaign
we will travel across campus bringing wellness programming and education to University of Illinois Students.

Summer Learn to Swim Registration
Learn to Swim registration for Summer 2019 will take place at ARC and CRCE Member Services on the following dates:
Members - Monday, April 29
Non-Members - Monday, May 6
Last Day to Register - June 6
Our classes range from Parent/Child, Preschool, Youth Beginner, Youth Advanced, Adult Beginner, Intermediate, Swim for Fitness, Adult Swim and Private Lessons. Lessons are available for participants ages 6 months - adult.

Lifeguard Certification Courses
Become lifeguard certified and receive CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer and First Aid training. We also offer opportunities for currently certified lifeguards to develop aquatic skill sets further and become lifeguard instructors.
Get certified now, work this summer! Employees certified by Campus Recreation can earn up to $200 back on the initial cost of the certification!
Lifeguard positions start at $10/hour and flexible scheduling. Swim Instructor positions are also available. For more information for dates and times, please visit the Aquatics web page.
Don't miss out on a fun and relaxing day at ARC on Thursday, May 2, from 11 am - 1 pm in celebration of Reading Day. We will have FREE food from Salad Meister, Jimmy John's, Jarling's, KIND snacks, gift card giveaways, Intramural activities and more in the ARC Winter Garden. Don't forget the outdoor pool will be open. Enjoy water games, a live DJ, free yoga and more. This event is FREE!
Join us Saturday, May 4 ARC East Parking Lot 36 from 9am-Noon for our Bike Rodeo event! This event is FREE and open to community members, faculty, staff, and students. Enjoy bike safety demos, bicycle safety check stations, helmet fitting, and skill testing stations as well as balloon artists, face painting, Insomnia cookies, inflatables and more!
For those who are wanting to get rid of an old bike, please stop by the event for drop-off and receive a small gift or tax receipt!
