Please join the School of Art + Design in celebrating painting alumnus Leo Segedin (BFA '49, MFA '50) as we exhibit a segment of his work representing more than eight decades. Leo is a living example of the creative spirit and perseverance that drives and sustains true artists. A Distinguished Alumnus of the School of Art + Design, we welcome him back to campus to share his passion through his work and his words.
The exhibition, "Leo Segedin's Chicago: Games, Trains, and Planes" will be on view in the Link Gallery (between the School of Art + Design and Krannert Art Museum) from May 22 to June 15, 2019, with a closing reception/book signing on Saturday, June 15, 5:30–7:30 p.m.
Meet the artist, enjoy light refreshments, and take in the breadth and depth of a life dedicated to capturing life's moments and memories with incredible skill, grace, and feeling. The recently published Leopold Segedin: A Habit of Art will be available. Copies are also available through the artist's website.
