Find, Fight, Follow: Using Nanoparticles to Study Biomedical Challenges, Including Cancer
Working alongside CCIL Member Dipanjan Pan and CCIL Director Rohit Bhargava, Beckman Institute Postdoctoral Fellow Fatemeh Ostadhossein's research explores how nanoparticles can be used to solve biomedical challenges—first, to detect disease at an early stage; second, to target and treat disease; and third, to evaluate the outcome of the treatment. Illini 4000 Welcome Reception
Help us welcome the Illini 4000 to campus during their cross-country bicycle ride that raises awareness for cancer research! The reception will be on June 4th, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., at the Alice Campbell Alumni Center (Jack & Marjorie Richmond Ballroom).

 
 
CANCER STUDY PARTICIPANTS

Cancer Survivors Post-Treatment Taste Perception and Symptoms
Healthy men and women controls are needed for psychophysical taste testing (60-90 minutes), surveys, and physical functioning tests (30 minutes). Participants can receive $30 upon completion. Those with interest should email tastestudy2017@gmail.com.

 

STAY Fit Program
Illinois researchers are seeking cancer survivors to participate in a free, 12-week exercise study involving strength training, aerobic walking, or yoga. Assessments include cardiovascular and fitness testing, brain games, questionnaires, and wearing an activity monitor. Participation is completely free, and you will receive up to $60 in Amazon gift cards. Exercise starts August 26th. Find out more.
