It’s the new 4-H year, and we’ve got lots of things to get the new year started! We’ve added four new projects: Child Development, Sports Nutrition, Family Heritage, and Visual Arts Leather! Download the new Project Guide @ go.illinois.edu/4Hprojectguide.

Sharpshooters, the summer season is upon us. Below is a list of all dates and times for upcoming events.
Sept 21 Archery 2:00-4:00pm and Shotgun 4:00-6:00 pm
Oct 5 Rifle 9:00-11:00am and Shotgun 11:30am-2:00pm
Oct 6 Archery 2:00-4:00pm
Please note that all above dates and times are subject to change or cancellation if volunteers and instructors are not available. Cost of each event is $5.00 payable upon arrival at the range. The location of each shoot will be the Iroquois County Law Enforcement Association Range located in the north-east corner of the Iroquois County Fairgrounds north of Crescent City. Looking for Shooting Sports Instructors, Training Oct. 19
Help ensure young people are exposed to everything the outdoors and shooting sports has to offer by becoming a certified 4-H shooting sports volunteer. Volunteers must be at least 21 years of age. Contact the Extension office for more information about the upcoming training on October 19 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. at 4-H Memorial Camp near Monticello. Additional training will be completed online. Registration is due Oct. 9.

Every 4‑H’er has a story, and those stories are worth telling! Share how your child is making a difference in 4-H and it could earn them a $5,000 scholarship and a trip to Washington, D.C. to be featured at National 4‑H Council’s Legacy Awards.
