CGS Fall Open House Reception

|The Center for Global Studies cordially invites you to the CGS Fall Open House Reception! Light refreshments will be served.|
Thanks to a late increase in funding from the U.S. Department of Education, CGS will be able to offer several supplementary FLAS fellowships to support graduate and undergraduate study in academic year 2019-20. This competition will be held in Fall 2019 (with an application deadline of October 15) and will be a one-time supplement to the regular competition that was held in January of 2019. If you have applied last January but were not awarded a FLAS, we encourage you to re-submit your application for these supplementary awards. New applicants are also welcome.

Gandhi, King and Our World Today

A two-part evening to mark the 150th anniversary of the birth of Mahatma Gandhi, which includes a staged reading of "Unexpected Contract" by Rajmohan Gandhi and "Is the Dream Alive?": a panel discussion featuring James Anderson, Ronald Bailey, and Cynthia Oliver (moderated by Rajmohan Gandhi).
Global Education Symposium
Most activities will take place at the College of Education
This is a four-day event with opportunities to hear students and faculty present, attend a keynote by Dean Anderson, engage in professional development activities, participate in Homecoming Weekend, and more!
Conference themes: global education and policy, global migration and education, diversity in local and global contexts, research-based practice in schools, and adult/professional education
