LCLC Weekly Workshop: Powerpoint or Google Slides?

Weekly Workshop: Powerpoint or Google Slides?
Which do you bet takes the trophy for the smoothest 50 minute period? This week at the LCLC we will take you on a tour of both tools. Although Powerpoint and Slides yield similar results, each have quirks as well as advantages. While Powerpoint has a broader range of templates and animation features, Google Slides is a cloud-based software that allows for collaboration and on-the-spot editing. Both tools allow you to embed videos, such as YouTube, so you don't have to keep switching windows during your class period, but one of these promotes more reliable streaming. Can you guess which one it is? Stop by the LCLC this week to find out if you're right! Bring your syllabus, a lesson plan, or raw ideas and we will compare features to see what best fits your classroom needs!

Can't make the scheduled workshop times? Email us to set up a meeting at the LCLC or in your office: lclc@uic.edu
