Alzheimer’s Disease has long stumped the medical community. Even now, researchers aren’t sure how it evolves or who is at risk for developing it. Agencies such as FEMA and the US Coast Guard are increasingly looking to technology to help them achieve their mission of more quickly and safely distributing humanitarian aid, conducting rescue operations, and delivering other disaster response support. To support these response agencies, ITI researcher Jana Diesner is incorporating artificial intelligence (AI) and data mining into the field of humanitarian assistance and disaster response (HADR). Center for Autonomy speaker fills auditorium
On November 7, students, faculty and staff filled B02 to hear from Jonathan P. How, Professor of Aeronautics and Astronautics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Presenting "Navigation and Mapping for Robot Teams in Uncertain Environments," How shared videos and experiences of working with robotics and the latest findings of his research group. CSL holiday hours
While classes will not be in session November 25-29 for the Thanksgiving holiday, CSL will remain open on Monday the 25th through Wednesday the 27th. CSL will be closed on Thanksgiving and the day after (28/29), and will reopen on Monday, December 2. During times when CSL is not open a keycard will be required for entry.
