This event is on Thursday, December 5, from 1–2:30 p.m. CST. It is cosponsored by our Early Childhood Collective partner, the Early Intervention Training Program, which will offer early intervention credit and state licensure hours for the webinar. It is also Gateways approved.

The Illinois Early Learning Project has added a two-part podcast series that explores the effects of trauma on young children and how early care and education providers can help them. Dr. Catherine Corr talks about why it’s important to recognize signs of trauma while working with young children and their families, while Dr. Deserai Miller discusses strategies for supporting young children who have experienced trauma.

New Video Shows Children Exploring the Sensory Table

Sensory tables allow children to actively explore materials using a variety of tools and their hands. Our latest benchmark video, Exploring the Sensory Table, shows two children develop observation and predication skills that are foundational for future science learning as they play with colored water and sea life figurines.
