Prof. Ashish Sharma chaired a breakout session and reported its findings on "Urban Perspectives on Climate Research to Enhance Resilience to Extreme Heat" at the 2019 Annual ESSM Community Workshop in Silver Spring, MD on November 18-19, 2019.

Prof. Larry Di Girolamo received the 2019 Sheth Distinguished Faculty Award for International Achievement at a University of Illinois ceremony on November 20, 2019

Prof. LarryDi Girolamo received the 2019 William T. Pecora group award for outstanding achievement in Earth Remote Sensing as part of the Terra Team.

Prof. Nicole Riemer was appointed as an Associate in the Center of Advanced Study during the 2020-21 academic year. Her project is called "Chemistry across Multiple Phases (CAMP): A novel flexible treatment for multiphase chemistry in atmospheric models"
