Thanks for all our wonderful IAP members for their continued efforts in both campus community and within our organization.  Have a wonderful holiday break, enjoy time with family and friends, laugh and hug, and play lots of board games! Tripoly is a family tradition in our house.

With the beginning of a new semester, please remember to reach out to other members with your questions, or even if you just need someone to support your mini-meltdown!  Remember, we’re all in this together.  Keep your calendars open for the great speakers and presentations coming over these cold winter months.  Chin up, this cold weather can only last . . . well, given the global warming crisis I’m not really sure, but eventually it will get warmer!  Hunker down and reach out to friends when you need help.  Happy New Year!  See you next year!

The next Career Connections Luncheon will be January 15, 2020 in ECEB 3002. Our guest speaker will be Morris Mosley, from the Faculty & Staff Assistance Program. His chosen topic of discussion is Peer Group Dynamics, which includes developing useful relationships, operating with integrity and team building for success. Morris brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise with him, having achieved his MSW in 1987 from the University of Illinois. Since that time, he has worked as a behavioral specialist, training consultant, and Clinical Director of Cunningham Children’s Home. He has been with FSAP for the last 8 years of his career.

Lunch will be provided by the Daily Byte for $12. Options include;

• Turkey Swiss on wheat, Kettle brand chips, cookie, whole fresh fruit
• The Club on sourdough, Kettle brand chips, cookie, whole fresh fruit
• Fruit Salad (Strawberries, dried cranberries, walnuts and goat cheese with spring mix), Kettle brand chips, cookie, whole fresh fruit

The Philanthropy Committee is hosting the first annual Mini Philanthropic and Volunteer Expo at our February 19^th luncheon for a few organizations to showcase what each organization does and how can we help to provide them with their organizations’ needs. 

IAP goes above and beyond to help those in need and we know we can count on you to support these great causes. Several organizations will be presenting their information in order for us to have a better understanding of their organizations. IAP has been a great supporter of many philanthropic projects and we’ve blessed many families over the several years thanks to the generosity of our members. 

Please attend the February 19^th luncheon to learn about these wonderful organizations and how we might be able to help them with their organization’s needs.

The Philanthropy Committee is very excited to say that we succeeded in helping to provide a very nice Holiday for our adopt-a-family.  Our family included a grandmother who has recently became a foster parent to her two young grandchildren a 6 year old granddaughter and a 2 year old grandson.  The children got several outfits, a winter coat and toys!  The grandmother received a coat, hat, gloves, scarf and socks as well as a bath set.  We could not have done this without your help!  Thank you very much!
