Try Our New Interactive Guidelines Flip Book
IEL now has an interactive PDF of the popular Guidelines Flip Book that's ideal for use with tablets during home visits or work in classrooms. It also can be viewed on phones and desktop and laptop computers. On the bottom of each page are five tabs that let you easily jump to the indicators for children and strategies interaction for the four different age ranges as well as the table of contents for that age range. Tapping on highlighted words or terms in the tables will take you to the page in the glossary where they appear. Download and try it today. (Also available in Spanish.)
Early Learning Moments Video Highlights Self-Regulation
When children play and work together, they are not only learning to conquer the task at hand, but they are also developing self-regulation of critical areas such as emotions and behaviors. The IEL Early Learning Moments video Self-Regulation: Foundation of Development provides many real-life examples of infants and toddlers demonstrating self-regulation. Check out this video and other Early Learning Moments on our website.
