IEL Adds Two New Resources on the Project Approach
Dr. Sallee Beneke, longtime friend of and contributor to the Illinois Early Learning Project, has provided two new resources related to the Project Approach. Check out her new blog, Doing Projects With Families From a Distance, which offers great advice for families doing investigations at home. She’s also a guest for our latest podcast, Implementing the Project Approach in Inclusive Classrooms, which provides insights for teachers getting started with the Project Approach in their early childhood classrooms.
IEL Expands on Social Media
Be sure to connect with us on social media. We regularly share selections from our bank of resources on Twitter and Facebook. To support parents as they provide learning experiences at home, we have developed a series of “Learning at Home Activities,” which we will post on Facebook a few times a week. We also recently made our debut on Instagram, so follow us there as well! Finally, don’t forget that many of our tip sheets are pinned to our Pinterest page as well.
Early Intervention Training Program (EITP) Partners With Illinois Family
Our Early Childhood Collective partner EITP is excited to share a new video produced in partnership with the Warren family. In this video, the Warren family shares their early intervention story, highlighting how early intervention helped their family advocate for their daughter and ultimately supported them in helping their daughter overcome challenges and reach her potential! To learn more about early intervention in Illinois, check out the EI Family Guide.
