Dear School of Music students:
The School of Music cordially invites you to attend our virtual Convocation Ceremony on Sunday, May 16, 2021, from 1 to 2 PM.
If you want us to include a personal graduation slide of you in the School of Music Virtual Ceremony, you must be eligible to graduate in May 2021, August 2021, or December 2021 (student teachers only). Please complete a registration form before Friday, April 16, at 5 PM. If you have already graduated, please complete the same registration form before Friday, April 16, at 5 PM. Participation is not required but encouraged.
Important: doctoral candidates are eligible to participate in the School of Music Convocation Ceremony as long as they have defended by Friday, April 9, and deposited by Friday, April 23. Master's thesis option students (musicology) must deposit by Friday, April 30.
In addition to our ceremony, the Chancellor's Office will host a Stage Crossing experience for 2021 and 2020 graduates. Eligible students will be invited to participate in this in-person, individual, private Stage Crossing experience. Stage Crossings will take place Monday, May 10 – Monday, May 17 at Krannert Center for the Performing Arts. Students participating in the Stage Crossing experience must be in proper academic attire (cap and gown). 2021 and 2020 graduates can expect to receive an email from the Chancellor's Office with more details about the Stage Crossing experience.
