Welcome, Jeff Hannum!

Please give a big AITS welcome to Jeff Hannum who has recently joined our AFM team as a Business and Finance Coordinator! Though he's new to our department, Jeff has deep roots within UIUC as an employee and even as a youngster watching his father teach Educational Psychology as a professor. He now lives in Bloomington with his large mixed family including his fiancée, Melissa, sons Evan (13), Alec (8), Lucas (8), and Nicholas (9 months). Jeff is an avid Chicago Bulls and Bears fan and enjoys traveling, cooking out and playing outside and trying to sleep (which is rare). Let's see how Jeff answered our hard hitting questions!

Who is your favorite actor/actress?
JH: Will Ferrel

Do you own any pets?
JH: One cat, Lovey

What are you currently watching on Netflix/Hulu?
JH: The Sopranos on HBO Max

What is your favorite place in the world and why?
JH: South Carolina, because it has the most beautiful beaches and it reminds me of my grandparents.

What's the best concert you've attended?
JH: Aerosmith at the Assembly Hall

AITS at the IT Pro Forum

This week the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign hosted the IT Professionals Forum once again as a virtual conference on June 2 & 3. This spring's theme, "Resilience & Reinvention," explored past ways we've persevered, how we are forging ahead in the present, and our plans for re-imagining the future. Over the past year, we've handled challenges and learned new ways to use the technologies we're familiar with and pushed ourselves to explore new technologies.

Your fellow AITS colleagues presented at the following sessions:

  • "ARIA: What's in a Name?" by Mark McCarthy and Keith Hays (Office of the Vice Chancellor for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion)
  • "Become a Capus Accessibility Liaison" by Leslie Sherman, Chris Blew (DRES), Mark McCarthy, and Vance Martin (Board of Trustees Office)
  • "Data Analysis Pannel Discussion" by Ashley Hallock
  • "DATAOPS and Advanced Analytics at the University of Illinois System" by Ashley Hallock
  • "Inclusic Online Meetings Revisited" by Leslie Sherman and Mark McCarthy
  • "Introduction to Tableau -- An Overview / Hands on Training for Beginners" by Tara Sadler, Trevor Jennings and Michael Cervone (Tech Services)

Thank you, AITS team members, for the willingness to share your expertise with our university peers!

Please plan to set aside this time and join this important discussion to celebrate our accomplishments and discuss our plan for returning to on-site work in the Fall.

AITS Time Entry Moving from Clarity to TeamDynamix

At the end of this month, time entry for AITS will be moving from Clarity to TeamDynamix (TDX). Time entry in Clarity will end on June 30, 2021 and begin in TDX on July 1, 2021. If you have any open timesheets in Clarity, you will not be able to access them after June 30. In preparation for this move to TDX time entry, we need everyone to be caught up with the submission and approval of timesheets in Clarity.

We are working on training materials for entering time in TDX and we will let you know once its available. Right now, we need everyone to get caught up with their time entry and approvals and stay caught up. Staying up to date with your timesheets, will help you be prepared to submit your final Clarity time sheet by noon on June 30, 2021. Approvals must be completed by 5:00 PM that day. If you are not going to be here on June 30, you will need to submit your final timesheet prior to June 30.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Daryl Fritchey at dfritche@illinois.edu.
