The We CU Team
1. Information Session Recording and Slides
Please be sure to watch the recorded info session if you have not already done so. We are also including the presentation slides for future reference. FAQs can be found at the end of the presentation to answer many of the questions you may have about the program. Please let us know if you have any other questions.
2. How to register on GivePulse and enroll in We CU
To join We CU:
If you need help, please review the step-by-step instructions and FAQ on merging GivePulse accounts in the presentation slides under frequently asked questions.
Once you have registered for the We CU group in GivePulse, you can find a new service opportunity by browsing the available events (service opportunities). If you would like to see examples of past community projects, check out the We CU Community Projects page.
If you would like to track service hours for an external service project, please start by completing the Self-Identified Project Propsoal to have your project approved.
Please register for only one GivePulse “event” at this time so we can adequately serve our community partners and provide enough opportunities for all our enrolled scholars. Registration for an event represents a commitment to the community partner and should be taken seriously.
3. Next steps after registering for an event on GivePulse
If you register for an event on GivePulse with a community partner, please plan for a wait time of up to 10 days before you will be connected to your community partner. This time is needed for the event to fill, the team leader to be selected, and introductions to be written. During this time, you can complete any suggested preparation work (found in the event description) and attend trainings.
You will receive a weekly newsletter on Mondays that includes information on trainings, service opportunities, the mini grants program, and We CU Team Office Hours.
4. We CU Service Orientation (required)
The We CU Service orientation is required for all We CU Scholars. The live training will be held on Thursday, September 16, from 5pm – 6pm. If you cannot attend the live session, you may watch the recording.
Register for Zoom details.
