Illinois Early Learning has long been known for its tip sheets; our graphic tip sheets are easy to read, colorful, and great for posting on classroom bulletin boards and on refrigerators in homes. The newest addition to our graphic tip sheet collection is Supporting Children with Limited Verbal Skills. It offers strategies that are helpful to all young children but are particularly useful for those with limited verbal skills. (Also available in Spanish)

Supporting Children with Disabilities in Childcare Settings

Preschool aged children with disabilities and developmental delays often attend childcare programs with special education services provided by visiting teachers or related service providers. Our latest blog, The More We Work Together: Partnerships for Preschoolers with Disabilities in Childcare, offers excellent suggestions for professionals seeking to build strong working relationships on behalf of children.
