Please give a big AITS welcome to Paty Kamenga who has recently joined our unit as a Business Intelligence Technical Analyst! Paty is married to his wife, Juliana and has been in the telecommunications industry for over 7 years. Previously, he worked for Vodafone, a cell phone company based in the United Kingdom(UK) with many extensions in Europe, Africa and Asia. Paty comes to AITS from the Carl R. Woese Institute for Genomic Biology in Urbana where he worked as a Reasearch Assistant. Let's get to know Paty a little better!

Wellness Bingo: The AITS Wellness Subcommittee has kicked off it's first wellness challenge with Wellness Bingo! The goal of the challenge is use the Bingo card square to find motivation to get up and move more, improve nutrition, and elevate mood and energy. 41 AITS employees have taken on the challenge and are cheering on one another to Bingo victory!

I know that I might sound like a broken record, but I’d like to thank each and every one of you on this e-mail, and undoubted more that I haven’t identified, for all of your hard work over the last few weeks.  We took on a lot of work during this release for functionality / ease of use on ALL of our capital systems and documents which helps our customers and ultimately helps the University of Illinois System as a whole.

I know I’ve said this before, but your time behind the scenes does not get appreciated or noticed as much as it should and the work you do is excellent and very professional.  Additionally, you all have proven that once again you have cross trained each other to fill in for each other when the main person responsible for certain work is not able to perform that work.
