Salary Program Is a Competitive Necessity
As Chancellor Wise and Provost Adesida stated in their April Campus Town Hall meeting, competitive compensation for faculty is a necessity for excellence. We have been successful in this effort over the past couple of years and we intend to continue that progress. For the past three years, the Urbana Campus has had an aggressive salary program. On average, faculty salaries rose by 3.91% in 2012, by 4.3% in 2013, and by 4.33% in 2014, not including raises for promotion. We expect a competitive program again this year, though the details are still being decided.
