| On Contamination: An Extended Space for Sustaining Encounters through Art
"On-Contamination" is the platform for Ricardo Basbaum's semester-long residency at the University of Illinois. It functions as an art relational field that foregrounds the multiplicity of our forms of connection and mutual affectations. While originally conceived as an in-person residency, paradoxically, the COVID pandemic transformed "On Contamination" into this more elastic art-generated membrane composed of virtual projects for the spring and a shorter in-person visit in the fall of 2021.
Experience this space of generative contamination starting on March 11, 2021. Begin by attending the project's inaugural talk by Ricardo Basbaum. Then, stay tuned! As you read these lines, you are stepping into a field of connectivity. You may realize that you were already here, a long time ago. This space precedes you but depends on you to exist as something other than potential.

| ACDIS Summer 2021 Fellowship
The Program in Arms Control & Domestic and International Security (ACDIS) is an interdisciplinary venture at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign that facilitates objective research, academics, and outreach about international security issues within the academic and policymaking communities. ACDIS integrates insights generated by scholars from engineering, natural sciences, social sciences, and humanities to produce comprehensive analyses that do not reduce security issues to the singular and simplifying explanations. International security challenges are approached as complex phenomena that can only be understood through an examination of multiple causes and impacts.
Application Deadline: March 5, 2021
