High Fives & Fist Bumps

"Clean Address software that sits on top of Banner has always been a 'problem child' when testing for upgrades and defects.  However Matt Macomber is the highlight and safety net with his automated test scripts that he runs for our team during these events.  Matt always does an impeccable job and provides the BEST, FAST, and most friendliest service a person could wish.  He is always quick to respond to emails and very thorough to seek my expectations and work me into his busy schedule.  With a problem child that has haunted me for over 11 years, it is so nice and comforting to see Matt's great smile when his emails come through.  Even if the test fails and we have an issue on our hands!  Thank YOU Matt!!  You make our job easier!!"

TAM Employees of the Month - May

Becky Prather
Even though Becky has been with AITS less than a year she has been a real asset to the ESC Finance Team. Becky is eager to learn and always willing to take on a new challenge. She took the lead for ESC Finance on the SQL Server upgrade which made the upgrade go smoother for our team. She kept the team’s testing organized and communicated with the other areas who were involved with the upgrade. Becky has continued to answer questions, when needed, assisting the department she transferred from, even working until after 10 pm one Friday evening helping them to meet a deadline. She is great about documenting processes and making sure everyone is on the same page.

Mike Williams
Mike was a key contributor to AITS in May in facilitating the resolution of several unplanned incidents. He assisted in the communication of the expired certificate issue, proactively locating affected systems and applications and quickly notifying the service owners. He also spotted an issue with overnight batch processing that allowed the production Linux/Solaris and Oracle patching event to proceed as planned. These are just the latest examples of the diligent and dependable work Mike has produced over the years while working overnight hours for AITS. He continues to save the university countless hours of lost productivity and working directly with students, faculty, and staff throughout the night to resolve their issues so the rest of us can enjoy quality sleep and downtime.
