As part of our ongoing response to COVID-19 and the continued importance of implementing social distancing strategies, effective immediately, entrance to F&S locations and on-campus work areas (e.g., breakrooms, storage locations) will be prohibited for non-staff until further notice.
This restriction applies to all visitors, vendors, contractors, and non-F&S university personnel unless prior supervisory approval is granted by a department or division director for an essential meeting or event (regular mail and deliveries will continue as typical). Authorized guests inside of the following buildings, or on-campus work areas, will also need to be accompanied by an F&S employee at all times.
- Physical Plant Service Building
- Abbott Power Plant
- Garage and Car Pool
- Waste Transfer Station
- Central Receiving Building*
- Grounds Storage Barn
- Regional chiller plants (Oak Street Chiller Plant, North Campus Chiller Plant, Library Air Conditioning Center Chiller Plant, Veterinary Medicine Chiller Plant, Animal Science Air Chiller Plant, Chemistry & Life Sciences Laboratory Chiller Plant)
- Plant Services Building Northeast
*Stores & Receiving customers are requested to call ahead and make appointments to pick up orders at the southwest entrance of the facility
Additionally, departments and shops are directed to limit personal interactions within facilities as much as practical, per guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to avoid close contact with others.
Thank you for following these work area restrictions and for your continued support of the university’s overall response efforts.
